F.A.Q.

Image 1 Do I need to bring a partner?Everyone dances with a partner, that being said: no you do not need to bring one. So don't hesitate to come alone as it is actually encouraged to dance with different people to become a better lead or follower. Besides, we make sure everyone has a partner before the lesson begins. There is rarely ever a shortage of people to dance with! Sometimes instructors will also rotate partners during lessons as well but you do not have to partake if it makes you feel uncomfortable in any way.
Image 2 What do I bring and wear? Yourself! Along with that, make sure you bring your membership with you or cash if you haven't already joined us. Don't forget to bring something to drink to help you cool off. On the dancefloor everyone wears what they feel like. Wear casual or formal, it doesn't matter! As far as your feet go: just wear what you feel comfortable in. You will see a wide range of shoes being worn, typically we see men wear loafers and runners while girls prefer thick high heels, flats or even runners as well.
Image 3 Do I need to be a Queen's student to join? Absolutely not! Don't let the name fool you. We welcome everyone to join, from kids who are fresh out of high school to seniors who have long retired.
Image 4 Where are the lessons held? We do not own a studio so we simply rent rooms on Queen's campus to teach our lessons in. Currently we are teaching out of the John Deutch University Center (JDUC). Please see our Lessons page for our schedule. Our newsletter will be the primary source for location updates, so be sure to subscribe by visiting our Contact page.
